i don't match my rpms when downshifting, doesn't make any sense to...

i'm not all knowing, i'm 19 so if anyone has any better ideas i would like to know too.. but i don't believe it is necessary to match your rpms when down shifting. i'm all about getting the most out of driving stick, more tips and hints welcome

practice on a hill and do not mess with the radio. you will probably get confused and try and shift into FM. don't ask.

^lol. you should practice on a hill. If you could get off 1st gear without the car stalling, then the rest of driving will be piece of cake.

oh make sure theres no car behind you or else SLAMMMED YOUR BREAKS. :P

uh i'd highly recommend blipping the throttle if you downshift... If you just let off the clutch that means your clutch must pull your engine speed up to match the lower gear.. That is alot of friction that the clutch has to pull on. I also think downshifting is okay but it doesnt help THAT much unless it's downhill or something. I usually just downshift 5-4, 4-3, then clutch in at around 1300rpm on 3rd and slow down as needed. But i get lazy sometimes and just clutch in with no downshifting.
