3 tires changed before first oil change :(

I don''t know it's the cheap stock tires or my luck. Popped 1 at 150 miles. Changed 1. Found a lump on the sidewall on another one at 650 miles. Changed both rear, got the odd one out as spare. Today at 4100 miles, popped another one on the front. Put the spare back on. Now my car has 3 different brands and 2 different sizes. 1 stock, 1 nexen and 2 Falken 205/50.
Hahhhh.......

Just a question, you;re not one of those fit drivers that keeps their tires at 50 PSI for better MPG's are you?

yah, my thoughts exactly. psi has a lot to do with bursting tires.... high psi is one
of them. tearing is usually associated with low psi.

My stock tires are fine. Except for the fact that I need 4 new tires soon with only 14,000 miles on the car. Needless to say, I'm going with some aftermarket tires that will last longer next time.

Your car probably just got a bad set of tires from the factory. Did Honda cover anything?

No, but I take Brooklyn-Queens Expressway(BQE) twice aweek. That road is so f**k-up, every time is an off-road experience. I only drove like 35-40mph. I'm so slow, every drivers are like giving me finger at me. The road is bad but the tire wasn't pop on the Exp'way.

I think the BQE is probably your problem, that thing is horrible! You need like a 10 inch sidewall to survive that thing.

Yea, BQE sucks big time. I've seen some parts of it that have metal plates with ~2 inch bolts sticking out of them. And other parts with HUGE pot holes that I for some reason or another ALWAYS HIT! My tires seem fine so far, have around 7k miles right now. But then again I only drive the BQE once in a while.

i pop one tire the other day but i hit a hugh pothole with 5 people including me in the car and a big ass cooler in the hatch.honda replaced it with a new one free of charge.

i still think the stock tires are poo. they just dont perform the way i want.specially on wet roads.

Honda/Acura tires last about 15000 miles, that way the dealer can charge you for 4 new tires before the basic warranty is up. That's if you're dumb enough to take it to the dealer for tires.

So if they go before 15000 miles it is covered by warranty??

I just saw a Mercedes C and a TL-S lose their bumper on the unpaved section between Queens Blvd and Nothern/B'way exit 2 nights ago. They drove so fast on the middle lane, up the manhole cover lumps(2), nose dive and rip the bumper right out. The city have to fix that road FAST!!

I think our stock are like 100 treadwear. I have eagle RS-A on my Matrix. They are like 260. I drove 58000 miles on them in NYC. Just changed them(RS-A again) few days ago for $105 each, tax and installation included .
