Fit for marine duty

Honda's new outboard marine motors based on the Fit motor:

it looks so much smaller in that fiberglass box.

I'd actually lay it out in reverse. ANY engine that will spend the bulk of it's life running between 4,500 and 6,000 RPM, is most certainly welcome in my car, where the demands on it would be much less. I think this somewhat addresses the concerns about how well the engine will hold up running around 3,000 RPM while cruising in 5th. Don't worry, it's actually an outboard under the hood, it doesn't even know it's on yet

wow thats cool, were looking for a new motor in our boat the 90hp nissan is on its way out I may have to look into this guy! It'll be a little joke that if my engine dies I can steal the boat motor!

outboard tweaks

I wonder how they tweaked the vtec system for use in an outboard. I know the fit's HP and torque curves are fairly weird as 4V per cylinder 4s go. What would you go for in an outboard?
