Ebrake and Hills :*(
So today I started my first day at Wachovia. And of course I got lost and was late finding the orientation building.
I pulled into a parking spot... forgot to turn off my ipod, gps, and forgot to pull up my ebrake.
2 mins later... the security lady comes into the orientation building... asks who's weird honda is parked out front. doesn't say much...I walk out.. and FcuKK it rolled into a dodge nitro

well the witness said it rolled into the car less than 5mph.
my tail light scratched the nitro rear quarter panel... no dent or anything...
but my car needs a new bumper. honda and their cheap bumpers.

Ouch!
So hopefully the new employer doesn't think you're a dip now.
I think the iPod somehow interfaced with your car's computer, and tried to steal the car. Steve Jobs is like that.
The bright side:
Your Fit will be on the road for years after that Dodge has been smelted and recycled into something useful, like drugstore shelves.
You're in B'ham? Cool, me too. (Well, not really cool right now, it's 96 degrees.) There are a couple of other FitFreaks here in town, also.

Flow checks! Professional pilots do flow checks of the cockpit for each phase of flight. In my car I always shut down the car using a flow that starts at the console to make sure nothing is drawing power from the power plug, place the car in Park, or first gear if it's manual, and set the park brake. Turn off the radio, turn off the AC blower, turn off the engine, make sure the lights are off, crack open the driver's window in the summer, release the safety belt and open the door. In an airplane I then back up the flow with a written checklist. In the car I don't need the written checklist. I just always use the flow for turning the car off, and I basically reverse the flow to start the car. Good habit patterns will keep you out of trouble. This flow only takes about 15 to 20 seconds to complete.

I'm in Indian Springs (Pelham area), and work in Trussville.
A guy on this forum, whom I don't see on here much lately, called TheDeadPoet, lives in Birmingham somewhere. I was supposed to meet up w/him once but some crap came up at work or something, and we never did meet.
My Fit might not be considered "nice" either. It's just plain bone stock except for a bug deflector and a dead pedal, and Florida-legal tint. I have no intention of adding heavier wheels and a less-efficient intake or exhaust, the ones that come on the car are just fine by me. Is yours modded? Other than the unintentional mods caused by the iPod and the Dodge, that is?
