you get what you pay for. want the OEM piece? get the OEM JDM armrest, want an aftermarket piece? get the zeta or ebay piece.

if you think about it, when you get the JDM armrest console, you are getting the WHOLE console too. not just the armrest.

I thought about it a lot as well, didn't want to spend $300 just so I could have an armrest.. but then I started thinking more about the way I drive, and how uncomfortable my right arm is all the time dangling down the side of my seat, and I thought.. "What is it worth to me to have an armrest?"

I thought about the zeta products, but I didn't want to deal with drilling holes into my existing console. In the end, I decided if I'm going to do it, just do it right and quit worrying about it. And so, my console is en route and due in next week!

It'll probably be my last mod for a while.

Bottom line, if you can get the JDM console, just get it.

Well here's what it comes down to for me. I buy the $300 console and I skip out on rims until next spring season or I but the zeta or fittuner armrest and get rims with my pay check on friday. I am so un-sure but I will make a decision by Friday since I am sure those OEM wont last long.

My console is on its way to my door. If anyone wants my USDM console + Zeta nonfolding armrest, I will have it shipped to you for $120. Or just the armrest for $80 shipped (zeta charges $110 + shipping)

i have the zeta one and it squeaks like crazy any time you put your arm on it. cheap plastic. i don't notice much because i have the radio on but it is annoying. fittuner.com sent me one as a free gift also. probably the same issue but i can't say for sure because i have not tried it. it's collecting dust in my basement.

mine has never squeaked..? I drive without music sometimes (usually whenever I go from a full stop just because I'm paranoid about overrevving or stalling) and I've never had a problem with my armrest. You just have to make sure it's screwed in really well. If there was no JDM armrest, I'd use the Zeta til the death of my car.

sell the other one to some other fitfreaker!

you could probably make it pretty quiet and solid if you lined the cup holders with felt and took out the console and secured it with some bolts, locks and washers

Unfortunately the JDM armrest does not fit in a Canadian 07 LX

JDM is nice

I debated and when they were available again via CollegeHillsHonda.com I sent e-mail for preorder. It came in 2 days time when they got them.
$312 total. Took me 15mins to pull old one out and put new one in. I love that it's oem and matches the fabric. It's beautiful. For the life of me I can't understand why they wouldn't make it a US option. Will test in my commute tomorrow. Personally I like it better than what I've seen of the non-oem's. To each is own.

i know right, i would have paid the stupid dealer installed price of $300 for an armrest if they even had it as an option, wouldn't have thought twice about it..

i just took the survey about the honda fit that honda sent to me. they went and even listed a lot of the features that the JDM fit has. my response to the questions were YES I WANT TO HAVE THIS IN MY CAR! WHY WASN'T IT OFFERED!? besides the annoying things they left out i said a lot of good things about the car.

like really.... for example: a coin holder? come on, a cheap little piece of plastic they couldn't even put in our cars, what is with that?

A & J racing have them on their web page. They are 10 minutes drive from my home, I should go there and see the actual difference. They said on the phone that the JDM armrest can be installed only in base DX manual transmission and Sports. It cannot be installed in a 07 LX

I don't know the specifics of the LX but the console doesn't fit the US Base Fit AT. The bezel for the shifter is oval on the Base due to the extra gear - the AT has detents for D1, D2, D3, D, N and P, the Sport AT has one or two less positions so the bezel is round - the same size and shape as the MT bezel.

I thought about trying to get one and see if I could cut it to fit but it's a lot of money for something that might not work and I don't personally need.

Have the non-folding zeta.com. Very nice leather, but plastic is kind of cheap. However, it is worth the $80.

I just put in the Armrest console also, and am glad I got the factory one and not the Zeta or other after market one. Looks nice and I like having a place to store my CD's now. $300.00 was a lot but I'm glad I got the real one and not after market. What I would like to do now is put a light in it so that when you open the armrest lid, a light comes on. Are there any kits that I can buy for this or will I just have to make my own light assembly ?
