2009 Sport Wheel Locks ? Too Long ?

Help Needed - Wheel Locks Are Too Long ?

Just bought a 2009 Sport w/ Navi.

I purchased a set of wheel locks at the Honda dealer's parts department and in my opinion, they are too long. They stick out past the lug opening and I was wondering if anyone knows of a wheel lock that can be used that won't go past the wheel lug opening?

P.S. I did confirm that the wheel locks are what is called out for my car, but after I installed one, I had to take them back because it doesn't make sense for a wheel lock to protrude past the lug nut opening?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of the dealer's I went to installed wheel locks on all their cars, and they stuck out like what you're describing. I also thought it looked weird!

stuck out about 1/4"......

it looked really odd and impractical..... this wheel lock looks like it would be really easy to use a pair of grip pliers to remove it

kind of defeats the whole purpose ?

Return it and get the short ones like someone else said.

the long wheel locks were returned and that's why I'm asking if anyone knows of wheel locks that will work.

does anyone have the part number on the "short" wheel locks?

I stupidly thought I'd save $ by going to a local auto parts store for these locks, but I wound up going back to Honda for the purchase. I guess even the short locks stick out slightly, but who cares? The Fit is not a BMW. Most thieves would be deterred by the stock locks....
