6.5x17 45 1.478
7.5x17 48 1.86
7.5x17 45 1.978

To find out how far out the new wheel and tire will be, subtract the pushout of old wheel / tire from the new wheel / tire pushout. Thats how much further out horizontally the new wheel/tire will be at every point. tread. sidewall, etc.

More power to you. I'm interested in seeing your data! So far I can't see anything, is that as it should be?

Thanks but using excel formulas took only a few minutes. In fact it took far longer to transfer to a word doc that would transfer in Fit Forums. Unfortunately spaces apparently are ignored so you just have to figure the numbers succession.
The nice thing about pushout is you can premeasure any wheel/tire combination in the chart for how far in or out the wheel/tire will move outward and see if the tire is still in the fender. And all you need is a ruler.
Or to be gloriously scientific you can stick chunks of foam the thickness of the difference in pushout on your tire at the tread corner and see if it gets knocked off. If it does expect rubbing.

Tire change, heated mirror search

Hi, I'm a new Fit owner and new forum member. I own a 2008 Fit sport, it came with 195/55/15 tires. My question is, can i go to a 205/60/15 tire without causing any problems.

Also, i would like to know if there are heated side mirrors available for my 2008 Fit, as they were not available as an option. Thank you.

how are you getting 45 mpg? are you driving 35 mph? or did you do something to improve your fuel economy?

No. If you need to go to wide 15" tires put 205/50x15's on. They are a tad smaller diameter so the mpg won't be as affected. Acceleration probably better if you choose one of the lighter tires with proper load rating.

Youre welcome.
There used to be an aftermarket device that was essentially a little heater fan that attached to your mirror or window that blew 'heated' air on the mirror. Power came from 12v cigarette liter. But that was many years ago.
Have you googled it? Tried JC Whitney? they're into that kind of stuff; probably where I saw many years ago.
Or asked Canadians?
good luck.
