this is driving me crazy

ok this is a stupid question to be askin but its been driving me nuts. under your user name it says if you are a member or moderator or whatever. i've seen some cool ones like i am rays and wanted to know if anyone knows how to change it. if you cant than help me out.

Hmmm. It seems to me that mine changed as I posted more. Like after 20 (or maybe 25 or 30?) posts, I became a "member" instead of a "new member". Then after what? 200? I was a "senior member", then after 500 it changed to "frequent poster".
The downside of this is the fact that someone with no job or life can just post away about nothing all the time, and pretty soon they're getting higher and higher "status" (if you can call it status; this is the Internet, ya know).

Its not status; its your 'sign'. The Admin just doesn't compete with Engvals' signs. Silliness incarnate. Look that up in your Funk&Wagnals.

steeldog is correct about the default 'titles' changing. However to get the custom title i do think you should atleast post around a little more and become better accustomed to the forum.
