2009 fit mpg's

I have put a deposit on an 09 sport manual and should get it in about a month. I was wondering if anybody out there can tell me what they are getting as far as mpg's?

do you have a manual or automatic? Those numbers are encouraging.

I have a 2009 Sport manual... 36-40mpgs based on around 240mi fill-ups (not even close to max range)... AC on perpetually... I'm still in my break-in period though I'm up to about 2,500mi since buying it 3wks ago...

My average is around 45mpg in the month I have had it, I have seen it go up to 48mpg driving a lot of highway though. I have an AT.

Our '09 Sport AT is getting 33 MPG in the first 650 miles, with this being about a 50/50 city/highway split. I was hoping to get more -- even before I switch to synthetic at the first oil change....

Are you guys calculating by hand or using the on board computer? I've found the computer is way wrong when filling my tank to the VERY top. Looking at the computer I get 40mpg but when I calculate I'm getting 32-33 for nearly all highway @ 70mph. I do 108 miles per day round trip to work.

That's in line with Motorweek's/Consumer Reports' results of 33/32 mpg combined driving for an 07 Fit with an AT. My wife got 28 mpg(manually calculated) on her 09 Fit Sport(AT) over its 1st 300 miles doing city driving only. That's 1 mpg higher than the EPA rating, so she's happy. And it should improve a little after the drivetrain breaks in.

mainly 95% city driving avg 27mpg. I fill up when the light comes on and takes about 9.5gallons to fill up, takes about 250 to 260 miles of street driving until the empty light comes on again. So it sounds about right calculating by hand. I have a heavy foot and enjoy taking off the line and zipping around with the fit.
