What Other Cars are FitFreaks considering?
Or if you already own a Fit what Cars did you considered before you purchased your Jazz or Fit?
Some examples might be:
Toyota Vitz/Yaris
Nissan Tiida/Versa
Hyundai Accent
Daewoo Aveo
Toyota Matrix
Scion Xa
Scion Xb
Ford Focus/Fiesta
If you were interested in a car not on this list feel free to add it!

I drove a Toyota Matrix yesterday (zipcar.com). I liked it alot. The only drawback are the small side windows in the back. Visibility seemed limited back there for changing lanes, but mirror adjustments could probably compensate.
If the Fit doesn't come when they say it will, I'll likely go with the Matrix. My current car may not hold out if they delay the Fit.

Here's my short list:
1) Mazda 3
2) Toyota Corolla S
3) Honda Civic (4 dr.)
I can tell you that my next car will NOT be an "American" brand like GM, Chrysler or Ford. After 6yrs, my $28k Pontiac GTP is now worth about $7k. I got burned by buying an American brand...I feel betrayed by my car for the huge depreciation in value. American brand cars just don't hold their value. Besides...with so many overseas brands manufacturing over here now...it's not like American jobs are lost. Hell...GM has betrayed it's own country!!!! why should I feel guilt about buying an import.
OK...bit of a rant there....just wanted to get that off my chest! :-)

A lot of "American" cars these days aren't even built domestically, but in Mexico or in Canada. For example, the new Mustang's engine is built Canada and imported to the US for final assembly in one of Ford's factories. I laugh when ignorant rednecks rant and rave proclaiming support for their American products and American workers when in reality they are supporting Mexico and Canada.

Here's one reason not to consider anything from Ford.

F - found
O - on
R - road
D - dead
And don't forget kiddies...Ford spelled backwards means....
D - driver
R - returned
O - on
F - foot
I love that! Ya, I wouldn't ever see myself buying a ford. The only exception to that may be a late 80's or early 90's Mustang...just for fun.

I currently lease a 2002 Civic SiR hatch (Canada) and have just over 5 months left on the lease. I have less then 46,000 KM's on the car since most times we end up taking my wifes (our other car) 2005 Vibe/Matrix given it is alot more handy when you have a 2 year old.
That said, for my next car I will look at anything cheap with 4 doors and may even get a used car. I will most likely look at these for new cars:
- Honda Fit
- Toyota Yaris
- Nissan Versa
- Kia Rio5 (yes Kia)
- Hyundai Accent
It will come down to low monthly payments as I don't want to spend too much on my next car.
