Do you think Honda will carry an extensive list of stuff like wheels, springs, intake, exhaust, interior dash kits, etc. like Scion does to add to their sales?

My fiance' bought her Honda Civic from Huntington Honda a couple years ago.

At the time, they were offering what I would call "run of the mill" accessories.

They had things like trunk nets, rear spoilers, side skirts, fog lamps, and sterio upgrades to name a few. Keep in mind, all these items were kind of "stock" in appearance and were basically options for more expensive trim levels.

Maybe things have changed since then, it would be nice to see Mugen body kits and Tien coil over suspensions and AEM intakes etc.... but through a dealership, you will most certainly pay a premium. Although, it would be nice to take delivery of a fully tricked out ride straight out of the dealership.

 

The idea is to make more money on accessories and to warranty parts. I can sleep at night knowing that my intake, springs, etc. are covered under factory warranty. Honda would lose tons of money to the aftermarket if they do not.

 

I think that Honda may actually offer more than before with the Fit and Civic SI. Anyway, if they don't, there are tons of stuff available already in the aftermarket.
