El Monte huh?

From El Monte huh? The home of Dick, Dick, Dick Huggyboy...the famed El Monte Legion Stadium, be there or be square...Art Labow and Jonny Otis?
God I'm gettin old! Maybe I'm "Fit" to be tied.

Yep...we are all anxiously waiting to see what the U.S. version of the Fit will have to offer.

In my opinion, a body kit is mandatory. I'm hoping the INGS +1 body kit will fit the U.S. version.

By the way, I don't know what Doberman is talking about ("Dick Huggyboy" and all that) but it does not make me ever want to visit El Monte!! :-)

I am starting to wonder if there will be a coupe version of the Fit. I think that will be totally awesome. I have a few kit available at the manufacture. I will most likely go with the mugen wide body since we already have the mold. We'll see but definitely has to have a kit. I was hoping the Fabulous kit will look good on the Fit as it is on the xA. but i was disappointed...

Here are the two pictures

Hey Doberman,

You ain't alone Bro. I remember all that stuff too! :-) I was born in LA and grew up in Glendale. What are you doing up there in earthquake country? That's one thing I don't miss about LA!!!

Hiya Silver. Just FYI, Dick Hug Huggyboy was a DJ about 5 million years ago, who was really popular in the Los Angeles area; Johnny Otis was a pioneer rock n roller, and the El Monte Legion Stadium was "the" place to go for concerts. If you wanted to be seen in a really cool car, you'd have a black '58 Chevy, lowered to the ground, with chrome reversed wheels and baby moons (hubcaps), lakes pipes (side exhaust system that ran from the front wheelwell to just ahead of the rear wheels and was alongside the bottom of the car, like where the ground effects siding is today), tuck n roll upholstery from Tijuana, Mexico, all the windows down and the sound system going. Looking at the photo of the lowered Scion xA kinda reminded me of that...same concept, just a few (!) years apart. :-)

You don't think this kit looks good? I kinda like it...I think it has a nice clean look to it. I don't like the hood ornament though!!!

Hmmmmmm.....looking at the hood ornament on the Fabulous Fit...kinda ties in with the retro look everyone is going with. Plus, it could be a guide for a new Fit driver, so you'd know where the front of the car is and not have a "custom by crash" front end. :-)
