Clear Bra

Hi -
I'm a new Fit owner. 2010, Blackberry Pearl Sport automatic, with Navi. It's been less than two weeks, since I purchased the car and I hardly drive it because I want to get a Clear Bra installed, before the elements attack. The dealer does not offer the Clear Bra, and there are not many installers around. I did some research and the protective film is not easy to install, even for professionals. Peeling edges is the biggest frustration of the newer installers.
I have also heard the Fit is hard to fit, with its shapes and curves, buckling is hard to prevent.

I found an installer who wants $500. for the lower bumper, first 18" of the hood and the two mirrors. I feel confident about this installer's credentials and abilities, so I've made an appointment. I'll follow up later.

Thumbs up

Hi Mandolina,

Congratulations on your blackberry.
$500.00 might not be a bad deal if you don't have the time and experience and have the extra money.
Just make sure they are using the 3M /scotchgard film.

I did confirmed that there are a couple of rock chips under the invisiblemask that is installed on the hood of our blackberry.

About peeling edges, I did 4 installs done so far only the invisiblemask shows this problem. The 3M that I installed on a 2002 Lexus IS300 is not showing any sign of peeling.

If you decided to do it yourself I can give you a contact for a guy that can give you good deal on pre cut 3M film and does a superb customer service.
