Fit Bikers?
Fit Bikers?
I have noticed a preponderance of avatars and posts suggesting riders of two-wheelers are strong among us.
What's your ride? What was your last ride? What's your next ride (or ride)?
Mine are Hondas... Red, naturally.
A 1993 ST1100, bought new in 1994. Broken in now, at 104K (miles, not clicks). It is ready for a fifth ride to the Canadian Rockies.
1980 CBX SuperSport (hence, the username) with 1979 cams, carbs, and speedo (no 85MPH speedo for me).
2004 XR400 trail bike, street licensed.
My recent significant trip was through Telluride, Ouray (a Favorite!), Santa Fe (favorite restaurant!) with a nice downpour returning through Flagstaff.
My next big ride, previosly mentioned, will be a return to B.C. and Alberta. I wonder whether the snow chains I bought for the Fit would work on the ST1100?

Yeah, I found that thead after starting this one. Since it's an established thread, I was just going to let this one die, then there were several more posts today.
Here is the other thread;

My last bike was a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636cc (Plasma Blue) w/Yosh RS-5 carbon exhaust. I sold it when I got my Fit, but now I've used the rest of the money I got for it to get my T1R Turbo
But my favorite bike is my 2006 Rocky Mountain Slayer SE Canuck Edition. I have changed all hardware on it to titanium and carbon. I use this bike for downhilling and for xc racing. I've invested over 10k on this bike building it from scratch!
For those of you who know mountain bikes... my Slayer is a 6" travel front and rear bike that does it all and only tips the scales at 29lbs.

My current ride is a 2004 Honda ST1300 that my wife bought as my 40th birthday present. I've collected 76,000 miles since October of '04 ... fantastic piece of kit.
I've been riding bikes exclusively for 25 years; I've always lived in an area that was condusive to year-round riding. I've gone through eight bikes at last count. Most excellent way to counter-act insanity.
I also travel on my moto; east Texas, north Georgia, and the Smokies are my usual haunts; I've made trips to the Northeastern States (I'm born-and-raised in Massachusetts), with a foray into New Brunswick Canada, just so I could know that I've been to both ends, and traveled every foot of, of I-95.
Now I must ride I-10 from JAX Shores to San Diego.
Cheers!
Bill
