I'm 16, own a 2008 sport automatic and looking to start the mod process and looking for some place to start if you would be kind to help please include your pics and descriptions of mods thanks

 

what are you looking to do? performance, visual? a great palce to start is rims and tires and a rear sway bar. youll get a ton of performance and should only cost about a grand. probably the best grand you can spend on the Fit IMO

 

or, for the same $1000, you can get a really nice cat-back exhaust system, an intake (cold air or short ram), new headers, and a drop on springs. do all that before buying wheels and tires. it's the proper way to mod.

i think you would have more fun with the car having it stick to the pavement... hence my recomendation, I/H/E will give you a bit of power but honestly unless your gonna drop several grand into the motor i dont see it worth it as a starting point, you wont see a huge diff. where as if you put on handling mods you will really notice the diff, and yes i speak from experiance. a friend of mine with a fit did RSB rims/tires and springs first and you can really whip the car around on the road, where as when he did an intake and header, it did pull a bit more, but not too much. for the money you will notice more of a difference with handling mods... your never gonna turn the Fit into a dragster, but you can turn it into a sick autoX car with a few handling mods

 

i would recommend intake then rear sway bar. then whatever your heart desires.
personally i went intake, then header, then springs, then rear sway bar, then strut bars, then rims.

I agree 100%! Best advice that can be given to you.

At your age, I wouldn't waste the money on horsepower mods for the Fit. Unless you were to turbocharge it, it's not worth spending over a grand for intake/header/exhaust to gain maybe 8hp.

Keep the car stock for now, and research the SCCA autocross events or other autocross groups in your area and register for one. Best way to learn how to handle your car and see what it's capable of.

I say to keep the car stock because certain mods will move you into a different class where competition is stiffer and usually has better drivers.
