You beat me. I filled up last Friday with 8.383 gallons with 344 miles on the tank for 41.04 mpg.

Congrats to you! That's a good tank. Our Automatics aren't half bad.

I have about 950 miles total on my AT Sport. This last tank I started experimenting with "S" mode using the paddle shifters. The previous tank I got 38.22 using "D" mode and shifting to neutral downhill. The tank before that was way too good so I'm assuming the Honda dealer over filled the tank.

Is that before or after the SB computer fix? I was averaging 41 before the fix; now I'm in the mid-30s highway, 32/33 around the city.

SB Comp. Fix ??? (-6mpg a fix) So Dewi what was this for? If I took my Fit in and lost 6 mpg I'd be asking some questions to Mr. Sevice Manager.........
What was your city mpg before the fix?

Personal best was 66 mpg (28.024 km/L). Stock 14" wheels.

I've never been able to repeat that with my current 16s.

Perrenoud,

My language was inaccurate, sorry: The car's mileage didn't change--it was always the lower number. The computer just inaccurately calculated the mileage.

Do your own manual calculation and I bet you'll find that the Fit's computer is about 10% optimistic. The service updated the computer to more accurately calculate the MPG (which it now does).

There's a pretty good thread on here about it; it's a pretty endemic problem.

Here's the link to that thread:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...indicator.html

And the computer showed my city mileage around 35/36 mpg before the computer fix--I think it was around 12% pretty consistently, although I only did a couple manual calculations. (I did initially do a manual odometer calculation against my GPSr and found that the Fit is accurate there, but the MPG was way off.)

After 3 fill-ups on my new Fit Sport 5MT, my average is 37.0. I'll be doing my 4th fill-up tomorrow and hope to bump the average a bit.

My best was 41.87 calculated (I had a 44+ but that has to be a farce - pump probably kicked off early) Recently had a 41.67 and my last was also over 40. Computer says right now 44.5 so I'm hoping to see 42+ on this tank.

Edit - 09 5MT Stock
