so i installed a skunk2 SS

............ for the most part it wasnt that hard. the only crappy thing is that the instructions didnt have good pics so i had to guess on a few things. getting the linkage free was a booger. getting the thing off the ball wasnt too hard and neither was figgering out the clip thing. BUT........... the stupid set screw to put on the ball extender was the most retarded thing i think ive ever seen.they are angled up and you can hardly fit a allen wrench up in thurr to tighten it. not to mention the linkage is all in the way and it took a good 15 min. (i dunno maybe im just an idiot ) but once that was on the rest was a cinch. putting the spacers in was a breeze. and lastly putting the rest together aint no thang.

now th that i have it installed. im diggin how it feels. shifts are considerably shorter and feels pretty good. kinda notchy but thats how i like it.

lastly a question for the people who have it installed..
do yall think this thing increased how loud it is when you shift?

I don't know if I remember how loud it was before the SS, but that is probably from replacing the rubber bushings with solid ones.

Well i have not installed one on the fit but some times it can be louder do to the metal bushing instead of ruber or plastic ones.

yess!! finally someone else has noticed this! all i can hear is the center console (especially the cup holders) resonating and making noise while i'm shifting....i've considered going back to stock for this reason alone, but i'm a lazy ass....and i haven't taken the time to try and fix the problem....

i believe it's because since the shifter assembly was raised up higher in the process, the plastic is now touching the console/cupholders.
