1.3L, CVT and 50+ MPG? The perfect car for 2006 and the future.

1.3dsi vs 1.5VTEC Jazz in a market where both have been offered since 2002

61 kW @ 5,700 rpm vs 81 kW @ 6,000 rpm
Max torque 119 Nm @ 2,800 rpm vs 143 Nm @ 4,800 rpm
0-100km/hr 12sec vs 9sec
combined hwy/city 5.7ltrs/100m vs 6.0ltrs/100km
Price in Australia A$2,000 less for the 1.3L (with optional aircon added to 1.3L). Air is std on 1.5L. This ain't Canada its 40C here.
Sales split 28 per cent 1.3L dsi, 72 per cent 1.5L VTEC. The CVT accounts for around 70 per cent of sales compared to manual.

0-62 in 12 seconds! 3 seconds slower to 62 for the 1.3L. Thats pretty damn slow in my opinion. Considering how many freeways we have here in the US, the 1.3L DS-i simply doesnt pack enough punch.

I am a soccer mom and I drive a Fit. I have to agree I don't see any other soccer moms driving my car.
