Who has Best Price for Extended Warranty

Warranty
It is a Honda. The reason you buy a Honda, is that it will likely not need an extended warranty. Most experts, and me, recommend that you never buy those extended warranties. That is mostly profit for the dealer/stealer.
Suit yourself, but I have owned 26 cars, and have never bought those warranties.

Use synthetic oil and change it every 10K, change your transmission fluid/oil every 30K and air filter every 20K and all will be good; therefore, extended warranty is not needed on a HONDA. I have used this method and have 288K on my toyota with no problems. Just me $.02

Instead of giving opinions, I'll try to answer your question. I bought my extended warranty from College Hills Honda Honda Care Warranty - Honda Extended Warranty . I got a 7 yr., 120K mile, 0 deductable warranty for around $850 (now cost $915). My dealer wanted $1500 (then) for the same Honda Care factory warranty. There are many prices and coverages to choose from (click add to cart and use the drop down menu). You can also Google Honda (Care) warranty and get many other dealers selling these. In 2006 this was my best deal. Also, College Hills is a good place to get parts and accessories.

I'd love to see a survey of owners who purchased an extended warranty for their Honda - see if their actual unscheduled trips to the dealer made it worth it.
Granted, probably would be hard to get a good sample size specifically for the Fit, being a new model (to the US). And also not likely to be data that Honda would encourage, no matter what the results . . . If it turns out it's a waste of money, dealers don't want to you know that, since they want to profit from the warranties. And if it turns out they're a bargain, it says bad things about their vehicle quality.

My girl got an extended warranty when she bought her 2000 Civic EX 5 years ago. At the time, the car had about 60k on it. The extended warranty covered the car until 100k. Let's just say, the car has 125k on it now and she has never had to buy a thing for it besides brakes and spark plugs. Warranties are jokes, especially on hondas.
I just recently gave away a 91 accord to my friend. It had 313k on it at the time I gave it to him. Ran perfectly. Hondas run forever with very little problems.

re Warranties
And it is important to note...most people cough up the money for the warranty 3 full years before it is likely to even kick in. In most cases, those warranties are almost 100% profit for the dealer/stealer.

Buying a warranty is just like anything else. What do you get for the money (value) and who are you buying it from. There are all types of 3rd party warranties out there and bad experiences. You can't go wrong purchasing the factory backed coverage, especially for under $1,000. It is not an appliance it is a car you put wear and tear on everyday. They ALL break. Some less often/likely than others. Your'e not going to blow your engine or tranny, but if your check engine light comes on or ABS etc. You bet Honda will make you pay all the money. Honda is not only in the sales business, but also service. If they had no risk they would just offer a better factory warranty and sell more cars. Negotiate a good price for the car and throw in the warranty so you won't have any surprises when you least expect it. So what if you don't use it, that would be even better. I know plenty of cases with Honda and Toyota that it has paid for itself and them some. Don't forget, its insurance.
