Hey! I'm in Kentucky too! I live in Newport - near Cincinnati. I can't wait to test-drive a Fit. I have one on hold in the DC area (it's kind of a long story, but it involves a good financing APR rate). I fly over there to pick it up on April 28th. I hope it arrives by then. They said it should be there by then and that they already have the VIN number and everything. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I'd be interested in hearing what kind of deal you got and where, if you dont mind.

My credit is not so great, so I was able to get a deal because I am a member of the World Bank Credit Union in DC. They offered me 5.9% APR for 5 years, plus a 1% rebate on the price of the vehicle. They only deal with certain dealerships in the DC metro area, so I had to call over there. They offered me MSRP and threw in some extras like floor mats, a cargo cover and a locking gas cap. Overall, I ended up saving like $300. But the 5.9% APR is really what I was going for because I know that I wouldn't be able to get approved for that rate anywhere else.

That's a good deal on credit! CapOne is offering that for people with excellent credit...I can only hope to find a deal like that.

Doesn't flying to DC negate at least part of the savings though?

My mom works for United. So - not really. The only thing I'll have to pay for is the gas driving the car back to KY. I hope it all goes well. It all seems to good to be true. Wish me luck!

That sounds about the same deal as I'm getting (plus wheel locks.) I'm getting 5.85% from AHFC - I've got a pretty good credit score. I've put down $500 deposit, and putting another $1500 at delivery. Payment is under $300 for 60 months.

Yeah - my dealer told me that he will hold the car for me without a deposit. I will put down $2,500 when I purchase it. That should bring my payment to about $290 per month.
