Hmm...wonder why they quoted you to buy "USED" aftermarket parts. I would say screw the used part and take it to an approved shop and work with them to get what you want.

This all happened so fast that my car actually seemed to spin on the spot once it snagged his right rear wheel. That wheel tore my front end up pretty hardcore

Best of all, no plate AND the cops still haven't found him and it's been 3 hours, maybe they will?

My front end is all ****ed up, the bumper is almost split in half, the reinforcement bar got totally creamed on the passenger side right down to the frame it attaches to, my passenger side fender got bent outward, my hood is mangled toward the front, and the passenger headlight is smashed and cracked, and one of my fog lights skyrocketed from the point of impact to someones Hyundai and smashed the windshield surprisingly hard, like a full base ball bat swing of damage!!!

Called in the claim, definitely a good couple thousand there if not more.

Now I gotta scrounge up $1000 for my deductible...ugh.

Keep bird dogging the cops. If you know the color of the 350 and supossing there should be some damage, somewhere somebody hasto buy replacement parts. Fomoco should be able to help but don't forget junk yards. Query the local one to find suspect parts and visit to see. the yard runners.

Okay so here is the breakdown of what they gave me, but they also gave me a supplemental form and he was very helpful, I drove my fit home with a naked front, just imagine driving the fit with no bumper, reinforcement bar, or anything, just a hood, headlights, and the radiator. It drove beautifully and I opened it up on a back country road and if anything it was slightly faster without all that weight sagging down the front.

there is some minor passenger fender damage the F-350 ripping the bumper off and from the accord to my right during the accident as well--that must have hurt the fender pretty badly because its wobbly plus the area around the windshield where the front fender meets the rear fender (that is continuous down the the A-pillar) is pulled away from the windshield.

PARTS: $2515
BODY LABOR: 6.4 HRS @ 44/HR $281
PAINT LABOR: 8.0 HRS @ 44/HR $352
PAINT SUPPLIES: 8.0 HRS @ 26/HR $208
SUBTOTAL: 3356
6.75% TAX: 226.53
TOTAL: 3582.53
So here is what I don't get--they "APPLIED COSMETIC APPEARANCE ALLOWANCE OF $100 TOWARDS DEDUCTIBLE FOR PRIOR SPOILER MARKS"

and honestly guys the prices on some of the stuff in here....320 for the reconditioned headlight? I can get it for 191 NEW....its all way over the actual cost...

bernardi parts rocks every price on the quote breakdown. guess my total at bernardi for all new parts with freight?

Wow I added every part on the quote (which seems to be completely accurate for OEM replacement: just $1885!

Don't forget 'loss of value' in your costs.
And be sure to co-ordinate with the Accord owner, two are better than one.

I got hit and run in my own parking space by some beaner last night, and I just switched insurance last night, so I am paying for the repairs out of pocket. I'm just glad it was just my bumper.

44/hour is ridiculously cheap. In NorCal, if you can find 90/hour you did a good job. I have seen some places 150+/hr for labor.

Thanks man my friend powdercoated them extremely high gloss black for $250, they charge $480 during business hours and trust me you would say that if you saw them in person...they are sick looking just really dirty right now. He will also be doing the body kit for me in several layers of Storm Silver Metallic.

So the only thing still up in the air at this point is whether or not I'm getting the Ings side skirts repaired--since I have stock Sport skirts to begin with and the line is not much different at all and I'm looking at a couple hundred to get them repaired--unfortunately I think I'm going to have to set them aside for now to focus on more important upgrades. So front and rear Ings bumper + sport skirts.

Should be looking a bit like this next weekend...

Edit: Ohhh I forgot to add--I'm going to get the front plate area filled and smoothed flush so it continues the original line of the kit--much better!

I really like that rear bumper. And I have done many OEM powdercoats, its classy, and inexpensive compared to high line rims. I usually do gunmetal, 90% gloss black, or flat black medium texture.

...was it a landscaping truck? We have a lot of those around here... at least 21% drivers here are un-insured... 25% or more un-d*******d or i*****l a****s
In the past few years I have been hit by two and missed (close) by many more! Never got hit with my Fit though... with my Accord had some i*****l back into me offering to pay $1000.00 for the damage if I wouldn't call the cops... called the cops!

So I have a broken leg on my passenger head light. I was thinking...damn, I'll have to replace the whole assembly, right?

Part 2

Think again...Honda was one step ahead. They made leg support "service" replacements that mount to holes near each of the support legs that are only there just in case one breaks to avoid having to replace the whole assembly! I think that's pretty awesome--considering I fixed a 200 headlight assembly with 7.97 of parts. They make a different cheap service kit for each of the legs so you can just buy the part you need.

Edit:

Update on my repairs....driving around with my front end completely fixed just missing my Ings+1 body kit so the fit is still looking pretty naked up front. the kit shipped out Friday so I will definitely be getting it this coming Thursday--then it's straight to stripping, repairs, prep, and paint. With any luck I'll get the rear upper and lower garnishes at the same time the body kit gets here!!

I've been considering a few different meshes for the kit, $55 gets me 12x48 of powdercoated diamond mesh with 72% open area which is the best % I've found, any opinions?

Should have pics of the kit installed this weekend!!!

EVERYONE stares at my Fit since I've been driving it without a front bumper, it looks so naked...staying off the highway afraid of rad damage...everything you see is repaired, just waiting on the kit to install the new fenderwells.
