How Many People Are Interested in A Coupe Version of the FIT?
Just wondering How many people are interseted in a two door version of the Fit besides me. Maybe even a four door version with RX-8 syle rear doors for better access to the rear. Preferably A light weight SI version with a more powerful engine.
I like the 92-95 Civic hb and the 02-05 Si and the Fit I just dont like the 02-05 Si's weight. Thats why I want a two door version fit. Maybe I will just find a good 92-95HB and do a B turbo or K swap then i will be happy.
I hate coupes. That's why I stayed away from the Yaris altogether. I've driven three in my lifetime (all hatchbacks too if you count a Datsun 280Z as a hatchback) and it was always a super humungo pain to help the 3rd wheel, er...passenger get into the car.
Sorry, Some of you misunstood what i was trying to say in the title of this thread I didnt reallt mean "coupe" I meat a two door version of the Hatchback. Or a four door tha tlooked like a two door. Compliments of the RX-8 or Saturn suicide doors

If Honda decides to go back to the "light sports car" route with the new CRX, it would be a natural to use the Fit platform for such a vehicle. Shorten the vehicle slightly, keep the fuel tank under the passenger seats (since it will be a two-passenger vehicle), and put in an all-new 1.5-liter I-4 engine we'll likely see on the 2nd-generation Fit with a full DOHC i-VTEC valvetrain; the result will be a vehicle that weighs at most 2,300 pounds with an engine rated at around 150 bhp (slow it won't be!).

Thats what I am taking about! I think that they should definately build this. I do like the four doors of the fit but I like the way two doors look (sportier)IMO. I like the idea the RX-8 rear suicide doors but still have the coupe look. I think that would be the best think to do to the Fit to give it a sportier image.

I can dig the 4dr version, I've seen a few that were tricked out on some JPN boards I've found. I like the hatch better, more cargo room! If Honda wanted to improve the current Fit all they'd have to do is bring the USDM folks some of the features the over seas models already have, 4whl disc, AWD, the CVT, but I digress, a 3dr model would be so so for me since I really love the utility the current Fit gives you.

oops I mean CRX
