Seeking 2010 Fit Sport Hybrid
I Would Like To Hear This From Honda! ---
The 2010 Honda Fit Sport / Hybrid
is now ready to order from the factory!!
(2010 Honda Fit Sport starts at $16,200)
(has all 2009 current options/features on the 2009 Fit Sport)
- Place a $99 refundable deposit to order / cost $99 / ORDER!
- option of hybrid-gasoline engine / cost $1,200 // ORDER!
- option of traction control / cost $ 600 // ORDER!
- option of all wheel drive / cost $ 750 // ORDER!
option of more common type of 16" wheels
Give Choices for dealership installation
- Choice A (???) cost $ 180 //
- Choice B (???) cost $ 200 // ORDER!
option of more common type of 16" tires
Give Choices for dealership installation
- Choice A (???) cost $220 // ORDER!
- Choice B (???) cost $ 200 //
Honda should consider:
-- $99 deposit to order a 2010 Fit Hybrid
-- Options to build it the way you want (see above)
-- Honda Discount/Rebate off the MSRP for ordering in advance
This would help Honda to know exactly what to build and save Dealers from having unsold units on their lots.
Just my two cents worth:
I ordered a smart car, waited 11 months, and managed to save a large downpayment in that time, which allowed me a lower monthly payment when I took delivery.
I enjoy the smart, it is driven daily and will be complimented by a Honda Fit Hybrid sometime in 2010 or 2011.
Hopefully, Honda will follow a successful model such as Roger Penske's with the smart car distribution system!
This kind of a distribution system will work for Honda in the US.
- It will give Honda the time to see what people want!
- It will give Honda time to produce car the people want!
- It will put Honda ahead of Toyota and Hyundai!
WOULD'NT IT BE GREAT IF WE CAN PERFECT THE OPTION OUTLINE AND LET HONDA KNOW HOW TO DEVELOP A WINNING DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM THAT WILL BENEFIT THE CONSUMER FIRST, THE DEALERS SECOND AND ULTIMATELY THE HONDA CORP!!!
WILL HONDA LISTEN TO THE PUBLIC??? TIME WILL TELL!
(smart car people ordering in advance usually choose the factory installed upgrades and options, letting smart car know what the people want)

My two cents: There's nothing *smart* about collecting as many fuel-efficient cars as you can so you offset your fuel savings and environmental impact with purchase costs and the carbon footprint of manufacturing the vehicles. There's no reason to own a smart car and a fit hybrid IMO. Unless you're one of the *hey look at me* crowd.
Now, about your ideas concerning the ..... where can I get what you're smoking?
That said, I'm giving you positive rep for lurking for so long!

The Insight is built on a Fit chassis so you can get one now.And yes, hybrids will be a big deal under the new 2016 MPG regs. Don't hold your breath.

I tweeted @Alicia_At_Honda and she said there is still no news on when the 2010 Fit will be released and whether or not for sure there will be a hybrid. That said, she did just announce a new hybrid CRZ.
