My fit will be getting a huge Vacation!
My fit will be getting a huge Vacation!
YAAAAYYYY, after about a year of ownership, and 32,000 miles, my fit will be getting a break. My accord only racked up about 2000 miles in the last year, and my bike probably got 3,000 or so in the last year. So hopefully the fit keeps to 3k miles for next year.
The reason, My girl will not be driving it to work anymore. She bought her first new car today. It's an LX-S Civic Sedan in Polished Metal Metallic. Just gonna do the same tint and visors as the fit, and leave it pretty stock, as she commutes 100/mi a day.
This isn't hers, but its the exact same car

Gotta wait til Friday to pick it up, since her Lexus is getting traded in the CARS cash for clunkers. My fit can't wait to be a pampered driveway whore. I can't wait to pick up my buddy's 09 Si rims when he upgrades, so it will pretty much look like this

I can't wait for another Honda to mod

Not for a year or so. My girl commutes 100/miles a day on shitty roads. I will probably do an HFP or H&R or Neuspeed sport drop, with koni yellows. I always try to run yellows, as they have worked very well for me and have lifetime warranty. My accord started being modded day 1 of buying it, the fit my gf said wait at least a month, and I made it to like 1week maybe before it got Tint/drop/LED tails.
What I really wanna add is the HFP underbody kit. OEM honda bodykits look great IMO. I still get tons of comments on my accord after 9 years of having it, mainly due to the OEM bodykit.
What's really nice about the civic: it's actually pretty dammed low already, the headlights are already blackhousing, the MMC grille is super clean looking, and leaves good room for fog lamps while still covering the AC condenser better than the fit, Taillights are super clear Red/Clear, and it has MP3/CD, with headphone jack(means I'm takin the Sirius outta the fit). So many of the little mods I would have had to pay for they updated in the style of the car, which saves me $$ and DIYs.

yah, i agree about Honda's factory body kits. i had one on my old gen5 prelude, modified ofcourse, and it got probably more compliments than the Cooper-S i had with its dealer-installed
aero kit. it's sporty, clean, and they never over do it, which is key.
LOL on modding right away. my GD was like that... it was stock for a few days.
my GE is stock and will remain that way. its the wife's the primary and she likes it as is. plus the GE's look pretty good in stock form.
i had the 06 civic EX sedan before the GD. the 2 reasons why i sold it was because it was leased (never going to lease another car again...just a waste of money for me. im sure its a solution for others though) and it was AT.
if it that was bought and MT like i usually do, then i'd probably be driving it still with HFP kit (body kit and suspension).

congrats man. lx-s' are nice, though i wish they had the extra speakers the ex's have, and rear discs. then they would be perfect.
i LOVE the interior though. and the only civic with leather wheel that isn't an SI or ex navi ftw.

Exactly, the interior is HELLA nice for 600more than an LX, and rims are nice and simple(need em powdercoated gunmetal to match)
So I didn't exactly wait very long. Already have some slim ballasts on the way, and I actually have 9006 HIDs laying around from my other accord housings, so it will have HIDs right off the bat. Then tints, and gotta find the right visors.
Niko, that does mean things should move along with the rims. Once the civic is delivered, we are pretty much getting tint right away. Then when the tint is done, I will have my fit back so I can use it. I kinda wanna take a couple pics of the fit with the rims on it just for ****s sake before I have the tires dismounted, since I have never even mounted them on the fit before. Then the hard part is finding new rims for my accord
I'm thinking maybe some rota's just so if they bend I know they will still be making the dammed rims.

Thanks, the fit is kinda my bastard child. I bought her to run the shit out of, to save wear and tear on my Accord and RR. Its amazing how chipped the paint is, how many dents and dings the fit has. It's like it is made out of a Coors Light Can. And last year my girls car started leaking oil, then the O2 sensor went out, so I got it in Auto so she could have somethin to drive. Now we used her Lexus for the cash for clunkers, and the Civic ended up a couple thousand cheaper than the fit.
