suggestion: mileage database plz?

I know this isn't a hybrid foru, but one big bonus of the fit is the mileage. A lot of ppl seem to care enough that i feel members shoudl contribute to a database. I used to want a hybrid before realziing i couldn't afford one (which is why i looked into the fit), and one forum i checked often was greenhybrid, who has a mileage database
http://www.greenhybrid.com/compare/mileage/

It would be nice if we had one. Categories can be car type (US base , LX, DX, sport) country. If possible, attach the mileage w/ the member. This way if a mileage is high, we can quesetion that member if they're lying, or if they're not, how htey achieve so high.

I don't know anything about php coding, but if this is possible that'd be Fittass.

Maybe someone can rig up a system where people can log by the tankful? I know there's a Mazda3 forum that has a similar system, but I forget the web address. I would do it, but lack the requisite web programming skills.

Didn't I also see someone post about having made an Excel worksheet for personal mpg tracking?

well excel sheet and that thign u said is for that driver. i was thinking in terms of a database that is open source, that can be contributed by and seen by anyone (or just forum members). this way, car shoppers can see the performance of the fit compared to others, and hopefully fit bursts great numbers.

I know what you meant - and I wish I could find that database from the Mazda3 forum. It would definitely be useful. Mods - can you do anything like that with the forum system?

MPG Database

Check out Fuelly | Share and Compare Your MPG - it's a fuel mileage database for all makes/models.

The fuel mileage for the Fit seems to align with what Consumer Reports says, which is interesting.

^^^This. Using Fuelly (my preference) or CleanMPG is the way to go.

If stuck on the concept of a dedicated document use a google docs spreadsheet. At least then it will be open to everyone and you can assign a password to access the account.

Narcoossee,
Fuelly is a pretty nice site.
I have everything on an excel spreadsheet,
but just uploaded all data to the site.
I can enter in Excel and track everything, but not versed in the graphing aspect, so this site is perfect.
Also will have in two locations.
Would recommend to anybody.
