Insurance Question

Fellow fitfreaks,

Is the insurance on an 07-08 Fit Sport relatively low compared to other cars? Say, a 2003 Volkswagen Golf (4 Door). I live in Markham, Ontario, if that helps.

not from Canada but it goes by location class rating theft price and then your driving records in the states.

Your driving record counts most and second the value of your car.

When I was test driving cars prior to getting the Fit, I just called my insurance agent, and the girls there were able to give me quotes over the phone immediately on the Fit and on a Hyundai Accent SE.

The SE was actually about $100 more per year to insure, which was another point in the Fit's favor.

Call your agent.

My '09 Fit Sport cost me a couple hundred LESS per year than the '02 Neon I was driving before. First time my rates EVER dropped when buying a new car. YMMV.

I went from liability only on my 1992 Jeep to full coverage on my 09 Fit and my rates only increased by 53 dollars per month. I'd say that's pretty impressive!

Well, I'm only 17. I want a Fit as my first car. For some reason, this car has caught my attention since it came out in Canada.
