I read in one of the vendor forums that the clear ones come on the 1.5 models and the red/clear come on the 1.3l cars.

I will do the same for my Black Sport Fit when I get my car.
Red/Smoked is the way to go.

Cheers

Question

So far from what I've read here NONE of these JDM tail lights are a direct replacement part - all require wiring changes to the NA Fit to work.

Is anyone going to offer "jumper" plug and play connectors or will they all have to be rigged up to work?

I think they go by package-type as opposed to engine size. It seems both of the S-versions have the all-clear taillights, even though one is a 1.3 and the other is a 1.5. The W, Y, and A packages have the taillights with red.

But if no one seems to know, you should just go with whichever you think looks best! Obviously no one will tell you you're wrong

I'm not sure which versions come with which brake lights, but I think your idea is good... just match them up.

The lights ARE plug and play. The only thing that you have to do for the tailights are to extend the wiring on both sides. That's it.

The 3rd brake light does not need any sort of modification.

I have the red/smoked tailights and the clear 3rd brake light. I'll take some pics to show you how it looks.

Cutting and soldering is NOT plug and play.
