Is there a web place which shows which dealers have which FITs?

Does only Honda America have this information? Has most
people ordered their FIT or bought right off the lot?

 

there should be a "locate dealer" thing on the site. then you can check out the dealer's website. but i think your best bet is to just call or go to the dealer. i didnt have to order mine. bought it my first trip to the dealership.

 

I did a web search and found all the dealers within 300 miles and emailed them to locate the fit that I wanted. I found my white sport m/t about 150 miles from my house.

 

Do your homework on the web first, then go visit the dealer in person. I didn't have much luck until went in person. Then they knew I was really serious about the Fit.

 

I just went onto Edmunds and used their online quoting system to contact a few dealers in my area. The dealerships called me which was easier and I just asked if they had the model I wanted in stock.

All the Honda dealers I've been to here in Alberta Canada have the Fit in stock (here in Canada theres 3 models: the DX (base not many features this ones rare here), the LX (very common here - has upgrades like AC, power mirrors/doors, etc included) and Fit Sport (also common here now).

They had lots of silver, black, and vivid blue ones here, but it was hard for me to get a red one (they only had one left in the entire province until June so I was lucky to get it). Their selling extremely well as expected by Honda Canada.

none available in my (puget sound WA) area at all as far as I can tell, dealers taking orders only and asking about $1000. OVER MSRP. None are interested in an MSRP deal. Most of the second (June)shipment appears to be sold as well. Dealers seem to be getting 4-5 per month or so.
