I have a 2003 fit and i have an immobiliser but there is no way to check whether the immobiliser is on or off because i can't seem to find a LED type light that shows me this. Here is the exact photo of my fit's cockpit:

It if doesn't have a immobiliser indicator light then that sucks because it would be a deterrent for thieves.

By the way, how secure is an engine immobiliser? Someone told me a thief can within a few minutes just unplug a few things underneath the dashboard and disconnect the immobiliser and then start the car. Is this true?
