Just realized my brandy new 2010 Siver Storm Sport MT has no light in the engine compartment. Aren't we supposed to look in there after the sun goes down???? K_C_

 

i think most cars normally don't have lights in the engine bay. maybe on some higher-end luxury cars? you'll just have to use your own light.

 

I've never needed to look under the hood at night since I got rid of my Pontiac.

Last car I owned with an engine compartment lamp was a '92 Dodge Shadow.

 

Wow, I have never seen a car with a light in the engine compartment.

Get a rechargeable flashlight and keep it in the glovebox.

 

LOL! Yeah, my Cougar had a light and NEEDED it! LOL! I happen to think it's a nice thing to have no matter what. I didn't realize there isn't one because I have had to open up at night. But I always have a flash light in the car anyway.

I don't think cars come with lights under the hood anymore. The last car that I had and came with a light under the hood was 94 Lincoln Continental... Even my Bimmers didn't come with lights under the hood...
