There's a huge chunk of rim missing, check out the tire too. Looks like major curbage to me. The lower ball joint and steering tie-rod failed because the wheel slammed into something solid. Judging the damage on the rest of the car, it rolled only 180 degrees.

Having whacked a curb myself that looks like they did it at MUCH higher speed. Pesky understeer. (I did it in a ex-state patrol car bought at auction at about 5 MPH and it folded that wheel right under the car.)

He lost control, spun then hit the curb causing the crack in the rim and the front end damage.

I wonder if the air bags went off? It looks like the passenger compartment held up well. I've heard these are pretty safe little cars.

actually it does look like the NA version

It occurred to me to check the picture properties, they list the Picture as a Honda Jazz... So I think it probably isn't a NA version.. Maybe the original poster can give us more info...
