the chevy fit

How do you tell this car from the fit (on the outside). It's really hard, except the H and plus sign logo.

My first visual clue as to the difference between my fit and the Aveo is that it's a small dot in my rearview mirror.

sorry, had to say it.

From a distance, I could see mixing it up with the Fit.

But certainly not up close.

Yes, there are some similarities to the Fit - I saw one yesterday and I did a double take! Similar overall shape, especially from the back.

For me, it's the headlights, the rear quarter windows, and the rear wheels (which are too close to the bumper on the Aveo) which distinguish them from one another. I am still looking for my first Fit on the road. I'm always disappointed when it turns out to be an Aveo. It might be that the first Fit I see on the road will be mine in June!

I actually like the Aveo sedan. Too bad they're not built very well....kinda surprised since they've been out for quite awhile.

All I've got to say is, you get what you pay for. Can't beat that Honda reliability.

The Chevy Aveo is not a bad car and is one of GM's better selling car in the USA. While its not up to Honda's fit/finish/reliabilaty, for the price its not that bad either. It is sold in other markets as a Suzuki or (what it really is) a Daewoo. Im just happy to see that there are a ton of small, cool four door hatches on the market.

The rental car industry loves the aveo, as well as a slew of other domestics...

But I cannot lie, the aveo and fit have very similar profiles when seen from afar.

A lot of cars that you cant get in the US do.
Its a common style in Asia and Europe, the small 4 door hatch back.
I'm just happy that its catching on here.

Not too fond of the Aveo - seems flimsy and not as roomy as the Fit (6 inches shorter), but the price is very attractive.

I also find the mpg on the Aveo to be apalling. Only 1 mpg better than an Accord on the highway.
