cruising at 40 to 50 mph

cruising at 40 to 50 mph

i own a 2010 base auto. when cruising at 40 to50mph then stepping on the break i notice that the transmission engine breaks in the d mode .is this normal ?im a first time honda owner .

brakes*

It's perfectly normal. Honda AT's will automatically downshift to help you slow down in certain situations.

thanks for the reply secondspassed .tapped on the break around 75 mph and automatically downshifted again .what an awesome car.just not used to it.
