Honda Fit Kit from Tamiya

Just got mine from www.megahobby.com - they might have a few left at $17.95 USD plus shipping from NYC. This 1/24th scale kit (TAM24251) is NOT generally available in most US hobby shops at this time.

- my local hobby shop owner said that was because Honda USA did not want to "confuse" the model buying public about the car (left hand drive vs. right hand drive and Jazz vs. Fit) so they asked the American distributor (MRC) to not sell it here. There have been other rare instances of car manufacturers in conflict with model companies regarding design copyrights, graphics, etc. but I think most often plastic car kits are regarded as great marketing tools...

BTW, on the box there is a small sticker that says: "Actual Vehicle Not Currently Available in the United States" - Tamiya makes lots of kits of cars that are not available here in USA but this is the first time I have seen that sticker. Funny thing is that the car can be built left hand OR right hand drive and the box says Fit and Jazz - world market!
