Just got back from wally world and mobil 1 five quart oil jug is on sale 21 dollars, I guess there making room for the GF5 oil coming out in October.

Is the five quart jug 5w-20 plain synthetic, dino, or one of their 'premium' flavors?

That is cool. My wife is a Wal-Mart employ and I get a 10% discount so if the sale is still going after Friday I will need to add to my cache.

 

That's a very interesting read. Maybe GF-5 oils will be readily available by the time my Fit needs an oil change.

 

SilverBullet has posted a lot of great links that I have checked out... I don't know how a guy with a job and family can be able to find time to find all of the good info he does.

 

My computer crashed a few months ago so I lost a lot of my links and some PDFs files from engineering sites. The thing I am noticing is that they are trying to rewrite the info or taking it off completely. Also the info in neutral cant say anything good or bad, pretty much like life and work, cant say anything because you might offend someone or be considered complaining. Like ethanol being good it take more energy to make then you get back. Its corrosive, and lower mpg. Its not everywhere yet, so people are starting to learn about ethanol problems. Co2 now controlled what do plants do now. CO2 is an inert gas now regulated.

Here in my local WalMart, the 5 quart jug costs $18.50. With the $10 rebate if you buy the Full Synthetic, that's $8.50 plus tax for 5 quarts of synthetic oil.

 

CO2? I thought the problem was CO? Dioxide vs Monoxide...

 

CO2 is being blamed on global warming, Thats what you breathe out and what plants turn into oxygen. CO is a problem too. It toxic to humans and animals
