Was stopped at a red light with my windows down and an older gentlemen in a Ford extended cab yells over "What kind of Honda is that?

I reply, "it's a Fit, it's still pretty new here in the US."

He replies, "Oh that's the Fit, I've heard about the Fit but never actually seen one. Looks very sharp! How does it drive?"

I reply, "drives great, I love it. I used to have a Ford truck as well but traded it in for this and it gets amazing gas mileage."

He laughs and says "I should get one and get rid of this thing!"

I've always gotten random comments about my car but never while I'm actually out on the road which was nice. It also confirms two things for me, the Fit is a really nice and good looking car and it's not marketed very well.

That's nice. I used to get good comments about the Fit too but lately I just get looks from people but that "aren't stopping me now"

i started looking at honda because of their reputation of building reliable fuel efficient cars.

i had an encounter as well:
i was driving back from work windows down playing some tunes when a dude probably late 20's drove past me in a red EK, as he passed he tossed me a thumbs up, and took off.

 

I mostly get compliments on the color of my Fit. I had one of buddy's friends drive my Fit and he couldn't get over the sound my car makes (K&N typhoon and Magnaflow) and he drives a well modded Trailblazer SS, now that's respect He couldn't believe how good lookin' the car was inside and the massive amount of room too.

Honda marketing, sounds like an oxmoron
