looking for a new manual 2010 fit in socal
sorry if this is the wrong forum, Im not looking for a used car so thats why im not putting it in the "for sale" forums.
i never ordered a car before so i was wondering where one can order a new 2010 Fit with manual Transmission in California? i would rather purchase one from the lot than order one though so does anyone know a dealer in socal that may have a new fit with manual transmission.

you "order" it through the dealerships. show up at a honda dealership, ask if they have any Fits with M/T (color?) and if they don't have any in stock, ask if you can order one.
Where in socal are you?
New Cars for Sale: Listings Near 92109 - Cars.com <-- 24 manual transmission Fits within 100 miles of 92109 (San Diego)
New Cars for Sale: Listings Near 90001 - Cars.com <-- 35 within 100 miles of 90001 (LALA land)
These are not color specific... and count both Base and Sport trims and a few 2011 models.
The newer the listing, the more likely the dealer has it (or getting it shipped to them)... the older it is, the higher the chance they sold it already (or traded it to another dealership).
When I got my Fit, I found the listing the day it got posted and before the dealership even received the car back in June (it was on its way).

that depends... if there is a specific combination that is already on its way, could be diverted from another dealership to the one you are at and only take a couple days (heck, next day if close enough).
on the other hand, if there are none available (all reserved already)... then it could take a couple of months for it to queue up on the assembly like and get to the dealership (3 weeks alone for shipping to Chicago AFTER it lands in California from Japan!). Some folks on this forum waited months for their Fit.
I had originally ordered a Sport w/Navi from one dealership where the manager "promised" me it would be there in just under two weeks... mind you, the car wasn't even built yet. I asked the manager "are you sure it will be here on that day?" I asked him over and over in front of the salesman, he said yes. Of course, it got delayed... the first day, i called, they told me a few days. The next day they called me and suddenly it was a few more days. The day after that (3 days after the "promised" date), THEY called me and told me it would be a couple weeks. I asked manager what happened to the so-called "promised" date... and the manager said he'd never promise such thing. Hey, I understand delays, things happen... but to say you never promised me such a thing... screw you. I got my deposit refunded and I was done with that dealership (I felt sorry for the salesman that helped me, he was very helpful, unlike the manager).
I guess my point isn't all the relevant... so maybe just consider that... its a bit of a toss up. If the car hasn't been built, it could take a while.
