THE question!!

Just out of curiosity - how many times have you been asked:

"Is that a Hybrid?"

I bet I've been asked 20, or more, times already!!!

I've found that in Texas, people don't voice their curiosity very much. When I had my hybrid, I think only a handful of people asked me about it. When I drove it to Kalifornistan, I did get asked about it several times.

hehe I had several women at work stalk me down to get me to let them look at it. They can't find any at local dealers to actually look at. I've been asked a couple times. It's all good, once the hybrid version comes out I'm sure it will happen more often.

I've been asked that question about 10-14 times.
Most of the questions are:
1. "How do you like your Fit?"
2. "Is that the Fit?"
3. "Whats your average MPG?"

Several times... and once while I was pumping gas at the GAS STATION. The guy caught himself right after he asked and laughed at himself. (But hybrids take gasoline too, hence HYBRID).

Anyway... they ask because the car is shaped uniquely.

Yes I have been asked that, and I don't even have my fit yet. Just talking to people about it and saying how good it is, and they always come up with that question. When I say "well....no.. But..." I get a confused/disapointed look

Every single #%$*&% blankety blank time! They also get the dissappointed look when I say no.

Today somebody asked if it was electric. Does this happen to Aveo, xA, and Areio owners? Is it just that nobody has seen one and they don't know what it is? I feel great about downsizing and waiting it out to finally get the Fit: the most fuel efficient, spacious vehicle we could afford.

I should stop, I already went off on this in another thread...

Maybe this is a red state/blue state thing?

and I really like how the disappointed look comes when they feel they are "car smart" just enough that they'll be self impressed with knowing something about your car....

and whamo - you shut them down
