Buying New Wheels- what to look for?

After going through the annoyance of finding a Dunlop OEM tire for my Fit Sport after being attacked last night by gravity on Tenth Ave (fortunately even though the local huge tire chain didn't have one, the local dealer had ONE, $90 plus $25 labor) I don't want to deal with this again.

I see occasional ads on Craigslist for wheels with tires.

Other than asking them to demonstrate that they actually owned a Fit rather than stole them, what kinds of questions should one ask? I can't exactly say "Prove you didn't drive on these tires with no air for ten miles" and inspecting the tires might only show how much tread- any suggestions for what I might ask or look for?

get detailed pictures of each of them.

if you're getting just factory wheels that's easy but if you're going aftermarket make sure you get the right ones... like 4x100 PCD, ET42-45 range, center bore dia 56mm.

the factory ET (offset) is like 55.

ive used ET38 on my GD with 15x6.5 wheels 195/50/15 allseason tires no issue. with my current ET40 15x7 with 195/50/15 summer tires the rear rubs on occassion. you can get a fender rolling tool from tirerack or have a shop roll the rear fender a little bit. my car is lowered about 1.2"
