I know allot of Fit owners are "do it yourselfers" but if you happen to be a customer of Jiffy Lube you might find the following video disturbing.

If you watch the whole video it seems Jiffy Lube isn't exactly fixing the problem quickly. It also shows that the goal of wanting $66 dollars out of each customer will obviously lead to these problems.

The sad part is that there are lots of good service shops around, these fraudsters aren't helping anybodies reputation.

1. This video was posted on YouTube five years ago, and the actual video itself is probably older
2. Jiffy Lube has always been accused of these kinds of scams
3. This isn't indicative of ALL Jiffy Lube locations, as it was determined that the district manager was pressuring the stores under his supervision to increase profits as much as possible (as I'm sure he gets compensated when they put up good numbers), plus it's not as if all nine of those locations that they visited were scamming them

My dad got to an age where he just stopped performing his own car maintenance and repairs, I keep telling him this stuff HAPPENS and I know it's happened to him cause he goes to shoddy quick lube places. I've never once in my life taken any of my vehicles to dealer or service center, course that might not always be the case, some stuff I simply can't do, but it hasn't ever stopped me from doing major repairs on cars like VWs. I'd really like to see more people learn to DIY rather than having this happen to them.

 

Never been to a Jiffy Lube where they didn't try to use scare tactics to sell more...

It seems they prey on women more then men. Knew a girl who they charged $30 to replace her air filter.
