What do you use your fit for?
Before I purchased my fit I followed the Facebook page of fits and saw other owners post one of their fits hauling wood , turning it for turbo, and also a roof rack with two kayaks.
When I was deciding between functionality of an s2000 or a fit... Fit won.
I wanted something the dogs could come with, road trips are comfortable, we could put our canoe on, and something zippy for me
Grocery getter
Zipping around town
Family trip
Camping / outdoor stuff
What were your main intentions of use when you bought your fit?

I use my Fit for the following:
(1) Kayaking. Never thought of doing this before I got my Fit. Got a Inno roof rack and stacker. Carry 2 kayaks.
(2) Traveling
(3) Work
(4) Hauling items.
(5) Auto cross would be fun (in the back of my mine).
Main reason I got my Fit was that I wanted a hatchback and something fun to drive. Wife kind of nix the Ford Focus ST.

The only car we had was a civic coupe. We needed something with more cargo space to haul things, a four door, and is fuel efficient. It is now my wife's DD and my excuse to look up parts on the internet and imagine all the cool things I can do to it!
I guess you could refer to my Fit as a never ending project car that also serves as a mobile dog house, mini cargo van, highway cruiser and back road burner... My grandchildren are terrified of the way it sounds, running and hiding when I crank it up but the dog loves to ride in it.
Utility van and convenient transportation - with enough fun to keep me sane.
I wanted something that could be our only car - so it had to have enough space to haul household supplies but also be fun to drive, safe, and affordable. And in addition to this, because it was going to sit in the driveway not being used 6 days a week (we both take the train to work), it had to require not too much of a capital investment and not undergo too much depreciation. The only car that fits these is the Fit.
As an added bonus, the paddle shifters keep me from going crazy not having a manual; the Wife doesn't safely drive a manual.
And I already like Hondas. Not totally brand loyal though - I have become a big fan of Mazda and Ford, and I really respect Hyundai and Toyota models for doing what they do. I recommend all these to people. To the extent I'm loyal to Honda, it's loyalty to the engaging driving experience and the intelligent engineering, and I hope Honda brings that back soon, because it's been boiled away from every model except the Fit and Accord.
I use it a lot for hauling stuff for the house, running about town, doing shopping, and the occasional road trip car. A car has to be FUN or I won't drive it; and this is.

DD for my 72 Mile round trip to work
Hauls 40 pound bags of wood pellets for winter heat
Carries my two small terriers in comfort.
We prefer the Fit over my wife's Audi for weekend trips because it easily accommodates us, the two dogs and our luggage. Not to mention the good gas mileage.
For my part time personal training business, the Fit carries, mats, weights, cones, hurdles, medicine balls, step ups, and all sorts of other boot camp equipment that just barely would fit in the back of my old pickup.
