That is why if I was to buy something off Craigslist I would want to either go and inspect prior to purchasing or have someone else inspect it. Usually Craigslist is more for local purchases.
Twice in the 90's I drove up to 7 hours to inspect vehicles to buy one a Datsun Roadster 2000 and one a TR6. Pictures were great both cars ended up as junk and actually you could say the sellers were committing fraud describing vehicles that neither match the pictures or actual what they were. The Datsun 2000 turn out to be a 1600 with the badges changed and spray painted to look good in the photos. The TR6 was pictures 10 years prior and was laying in a junk yard. These were not on Craigslist but Autotrader but same thing buyer beware. I post items people list because I am looking for things for my cars and figure I would help others. Thanks I will remove that one.
