What's your driving quirk?

We all have them so don't be shy!

I hate when it's raining and to put my wipers are "On". I'd rather keep them on "intermittent" or have to pull the wiper control up 6,000,000 times while driving home in the rain.

I have subwoofers in my car, and am known for turning them up and down a lot.
I hate making people uncomfortable with how loud they are, but never know just how loud that is.

I HATE (with a passion) when people drive with their fog lights on... when its clear as a bell outside. It's a simple little thing that drives me up the wall so much that every time I service a customer's car at work I intentionally turn them off (unless its actually foggy).

Use RainX then! Boy you really know how to start a wild fire! But I don't think anyone here just has ONE quirk!

Left-lane sitters! They always get me fired up. Those who don't care how many cars are piled up behind them on a 2-laner and those who move over to the left and don't go fast enough when there's no one in front of them on the lane they're moving from.

Hey that's me! But only on dark interstates, backroads and freeways. Not on city streets. My yellow fogs help me see better.

MY quirk:

Rev-matching if a gradual deceleration or heel toe braking in sudden slows, my friends/family hate it.

My pet peeve(s):
-Hate blue/white HID's
-Hate people who leave their brights on
-Hate hybrid owners who speed
-Hate diesel owners who 'roll coal'

I have many, many more.

My quirks:

-when I'm on uneven ground I let my door close on its own when I get in the drivers seat
-I always park in gear even when the car is on a flat street
-I play the drums on my steering wheel to music
-I always fold the mirror that is on the side of the street when I park
-frequently perform low speed handbrake turns in snow

My peeves:
-I'm 200% with Subie! I hate when people drive slow in the left lane. I try honking a little and flashing my highs.
-I also hate people who haul ass to overtake you on the highway then move over to the left lane and drive slower than you, forcing you to brake or disengage your cruise control
-I also hate drivers that come up very fast behind you on the highway and right as you put on your turn signal and peek in your blind spot to move over to the right lane, they have already accelerated and passed you on the right. That's so dangerous since you have to abort your lane change last minute and they angrily look at you since they though you were gonna hit them.
-lastly, I hate drivers who don't hold their lane and keep drifting into the left lane; it's scary to try and over take them because sometimes it seems that they are gonna drift or attempt a slow, unsignalled lane change right as you try and pass

I despise rolling road blocks. There is no need for a vehicle to be going 50mph in the left, middle, and right lane and acting as if it is no big deal. Then when you drive by them, they look at you like you are crazy.

I ride with my fog lights and headlights on all the time. I leave in 2nd or 3rd gear longer then needed when going up ramps or from traffic lights because I like the sound of the engine.

My hates (1) is when there is construction and you merge into the correct lane when you are suppose to and wait. Then someone who is privilege passes everyone and cuts in before the barrier, (2) people who do not still use hands free to talk on the phone, and (3) texting while driving.

quirks
-handbrake always on, even though it's just an a/t
-will always let someone over if their blinker is on, if not... good luck!

peeves
-people who try and merge early in traffic - there's a whole 100 yards in front of you in the lane that's ending, use it so you don't back up the ramp.
-phone, phone, phone - will always make you drive slowly and stupidly

quirks - must drive very smoothly. i hate even the slightest jolt while shifting up or down.

peeves - garbage driving slow holding up traffic, old people that do not follow rest of traffic, stupid bicycle ridors that do not obey traffic signs, do not ride single file.

dings bother the hell out of me so i dont take my hobby cars to the stores or apartments or anywhere prone to dings. even though i can fix most of them. for some reason scratches do not bother me as much.

peeves -
-drivers not using the turn signals.
-drivers stopping on the middle of basically 2 lanes and backing up traffic for people wanting to turn right.
-drivers that swing open their door on the street and leave it open.

Quirks:
When getting fuel, I use my my shirt covered elbow to press open the filler door, so I don't get fingerprints on it. (Same when closing). Looks kind of stupid, but I'm just anal. Also use the same procedure when closing the doors. Another quirk I have, when waiting at a stop light, is to grab my duster, which I store in the door, and dust off my dash.

Pet peeves:
-Lane changers who don't use directional signals
-People who find it necessary to pass you on the right, even though you are in the middle driving lane, and the left hand passing lane is open
-As others have said, I hate people who have no clue of left lane discipline
- Dingers! Why is it you can park in a space way out of the mainstream of parking places, and some shitbox always ends up parking right next to you?
-On the other hand, I hate people who think their car is so special that they need to park diagonally across two spaces, or park right in the middle of two spaces. (That's just asking for trouble!)

As far as peeves I could go on forever, but I need to stop now so I don't get too worked up. lol

I do this as well if it's that "inbetween rain" where it's not really raining hard but the cars are kicking up water a little bit. I can't stand the sound of the wipers.

I always dodge bumps and even small potholes/angle driveways and speedbumps even in stock cars, habit created from shitty or too low suspension setups when I was younger

Variable Intermittent Wiper mod FTW!!!
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...-non-navi.html
afaik it's only for MT cars. One of my favorite mods, especially on light drizzly/rain days.

Pet Peeves:
Left lane obstructers, rolling road blocks, and those who speed up to cut some one off and then go slow, or speed up to get in the left to go as slow or slower than the cars in the lane they just left... HID drivers who think they can see better but all they do is blind other traffic, however, they do a great job of lighting up tree tops and the sides of streets/hwys.

^I always passed that thread up thinking it was an aftermarket solution. Now that I see it uses OEM parts i'm very willing to do this.

Really have to buy a cordless soldering iron, tired of borrowing the one I have at work lol
