WOW it's really different yet not different from the current fit. Does this remind any one else of the new Impreza? Hatchback? maybe that's just me. Still I love the way it looks.

The more and more I look at it, the more and more I like it.
I like the interior shots, the 3rd brake being in the spoiler. I wonder what dumbed down American version we get. IF(<-- HUGE) we get anything like the RS pictured, buying it ASAP in White or Red. Its growing on me, and I hope we get the RS. |
Ffuuuu. I bought a 2013 two weeks ago. Oh well...
|
yah, they're starting to grow on me too. not bad.
i hope the USDM version dont look like crap... |

Better, but not great Mugen has officially revealed its customization package for the recently launched 2014 Honda Fit/Jazz. About a month ago a couple of photos depicting the Mugen-fitted 2014 Honda Fithttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png surfaced the Internet thanks to some brochure scans. Now, Mugen has taken the wraps off their new kit which brings an aerodynamic body kit including a roof spoiler, rocker panels, lip spoiler, rear apron, diffuser, as well as various designs of alloys available in several sizes. Other goodies part of the package we should mention are the LED lightshttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png, carbon fiber license plate holders and restyled mirror caps. For the cabin they have new floor mats, scuff plates, a carbon fiber trim, semi or full bucket sport seats wrapped around in Alcantara, along with new gauges. Rounding off the list of changes are the sport exhaust system, new air filters, larger brakes and a sports suspension. Source: Mugen |
honestly those body pieces just weigh down the car. i'd just get a sport and maybe a cool front splitter and some swifts. call it a day.

2014 Mugen Fit RS Rear and Side View :
http://content.worldcarfans.co/2013/...6458871255.jpg http://indianautosblog.com/wp-conten...ype-2-rear.jpg vs. GE Mugen Fit RS Rear and Side View: http://jonsibal.com/2011/takerosF5.jpg http://cdn.mkimg.carview.co.jp/minka...t=b97a26d8adbf http://www.autoguide.com/gallery/d/3...a_fit_rs_8.jpg I personally think the GE Version Rear and Side View is still the better looking one. (take note that the GE pictures above use the RS standard rear wing plus Takeros rear wing lips). This one below is the GE with Mugen rear wing: http://blog.e-kereta.com/wp-content/..._mugen_RS1.jpg |
The new RS Fit looks too busy in the rear with openings in the bumpers, the window visors seem to not flow like on the GE and the exhaust looks aftermarket does not really flow with the diffuser.
That is my opinion I like cars more simple with stance and wheels. I would not mind a rear diffuser and exhaust like this one. https://sphotos-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/h..._1145362_n.jpg |
yep, i like clean lines. so yah, i definitely prefer a simple sport with lowering. and wheels ofcourse!

Gasp!! they done away with the cup holders?
|
Sad, they went for the extreme upward sloping beltline like every other manufacturer has. Just makes the car look stupid. Whatever happened to "form follows function"? Just another car with no rearward visibility.

Wouldn't it have been great if Honda had bucked the trend and INCREASED rear visibility? One of these days some forward (backward!) looking auto maker will do this and clean up. Note: do not talk to me about the 500L! |
The official site is up. Lots of good info there. Also, the car is available for orders now in Japan.

By the way, be aware that the nose and rear bumper design on the 2015 US-market Honda Fit may not be the same as the Japanese model that are starting to reach dealers in Japan.
Due to NHTSA safety requirements for bumper design, the 2015 US-market Fit may end up being a bit longer than the JDM model. Also, due to DoT lighting requirements, the headlamp housing may be different, with possibly a single-reflector headlamp and the turn signal lamps on the outside of the headlamp housing. |
I'm happy that I was able to get a GD-3 in 2006.. The 2nd generation cars look nice but the 3rd generation doesn't appeal to me at all.. I do like the idea of direct injection though.. The USDM Fits have never looked as good as the JDM Fits because of the big bumpers that drag when entering most driveways around this area. I'm sure the new cars will be the same way...

not much love for the new fit here!
boxes ticked for me was more power, more interior room and better economy. not in love with the looks but was never a big fan of the earlier models either. pick my RS up end of the month. |

I'm betting we'll have them in the US version. Overseas they don't seem to feel as much of a need to sip on a coke the entire time they're driving as we do! I love the extra cup holders at the vents myself. You can never have enough cup holders. They especially come in handy when picking up dinner for the family in a drive through.
