How many miles???
How many miles???
How many miles were on your Fit when you drove off the dealer lot? My car is coming in next week but the dealer says the car has around a 100 miles on it. Should I be concerned or am I just nit-picking???
mine had 14 and i bought it off the lot. i would want to know why it had 100 miles on it. did they drive it from the loading dock to your dealer? was it a swap from another dealer who used it as a test drive car. 100 miles is a lot of miles for a car you ordered. i would be concerned.
i bought a mazda 626 new with 64 miles on it long time ago. it was because the got it from a dealer in another town and it had to be driven to my dealer. happens all the time.
but since you waited for this car - you deserve to know. sounds like a dealer in another town had the color you wanted and your dealer had them drive it to them.

All the paperwork said 10, but it was definitely fewer than that (I think I put the first few miles on it when I took her for a spin while waiting for the business manager to get everything togeter), probably because the dealer didn't drive out to the gas station to get me my full tank of gas.

Most people say that there shouldn't be more than 15 miles on it. About 5 miles for loading / unloading. And 10 for the pre-inspection drive. Otherwise, it's all up in the air... Test driven? Long Distance transport. And god knows what these guys did while driving it.
Mines had 8 miles on it.

Mine had 121 miles on it. My dealer had to trade with another dealer in South Carolina to get it after I had put down my deposit. They had to get a driver to deliver the car to my dealer, then take their car to a third dealer to exchange it, then take the third dealer's Fit back to South Carolina. It was a 3-way trade.
Another m/t Fit that I was interested in was at a dealer in Virginia and I would have had to drive ~100 miles to get it.
It was either that or what for months and months. I'm glad I got mine when I did.

I got you all beat. Mine had 421 miles on it when I took delivery of it. But I know why since it was a dealer trade with a dealership WAY up in Maine. But remember that your warrenty is extended with that milage. Which is why you sign a milage disclosure form when you buy the car.
most cars off the delivery truck will have 2-2.5 miles. Then your local dealer tests it out and adds about another 2 miles. So a perfectly new one is 4-5 miles. Any more means you are not the first customer to test drive the car. And of course, if you are basing it off your sales record, add the miles you drove for teh test drive.
Mines was 4.5 when i test drove and i added 3 so a total of 7 miles on paper work.
