HONDA Jazz/City (1983 - 1986) Description & History
This subcompact was introduced in 1983 as a 3-door hatchback with a rather tall road stance in order to maximize the inside space of the car. The Jazz was the European name, but the car known as the Honda City had been on the market since 1981 in Japan. This name was chosen because the name City was owned by Opel. The City was later released in New Zealand and Australia as a two-seater van.
