While driving my recently purchase 09 Fit Sport today the Nav screen showed an error. I forget the exact wording but it said something similar to "DVD error. Contact your local dealer".

What is that all about?

I get this somewhat often. I think my DVD is a little dirty and needs to be cleaned. The bottom line is the error is coming from the DVD itself..being scratched/dirty.

Thought this would help in case anyone sees this in a future search after having the same issue.

 

IF you can get your hands on a DVD clean kit, I probable couldn't hurt to try running it through the Navi. If that doesn't work you might have to bring it to the dealer

 

Yeah, I'm going to try to clean it. I'll report back!
