California Smog Question

Has anyone heard of the new smog machine in California?

I just heard that there are new machines for newer vehicles that don't require you to go on the rollers or put the sniffer in the tail pipe (). They just plug into your OBD port and see if you have any codes and do a check visual under the hood and your done. Anyone heard of this. What the age on cars that qualify for this? Any info will help thanks.

The new tests have been delayed, they are still doing the old method

As long as you aren't throwing any error codes or have any excessive emissions you should be able to pass with your tune and the stock mapping

I would ask around in San Diego for a mod friendly smog check shop just to be certain

I guess this place already has the new machine since this guy got his car smoked that way. I'm going to just reflash it car back to stock and do the smog.
