Is your Fit tinted? They stand up to Australian temperatures just fine and there is no hotter continent on earth.

I'm in Texas too, I have only had my Fit for around three weeks though. It is black too. I live in Huntsville, havent had any problems with it, but it is getting cool now, and there has been a fair amount of rain...so that probably cooled it down. But yours might just be defected

That sucks! Im in Texas and I dont want stickers to come off of my car. My VW has been living outside for 6 years and everything still looks mint. I hope my fit is as well built as my VW.

I'm in Austin, too, and yeah, it gets pretty dang hot here. (It's been a little mild the last few years... I remember one year we went over 100 degrees 90 days in a row!) My fit won't be in my possession for probably another month, so I'll miss the summer heat this year. Next year, though, I'll keep an eye on that stuff.

I plan on getting the windows tinted ASAP, and will use a front sun shade religiously, as I always do. We'll see what happens, but if crap starts falling apart, I'll take it to the dealer.

Another Arizona Fit owner - had it since July, many triple-digit days, no problems. Of course, now that it's cooled down into the 90's......

I have a silly question. Is the Down South heat in the U.S. the same as the Northern inner-city heat?

We tend to get the odd nasty humidity sticky syrupy heat up here occasionally in our summers. I was wondering if you guys get a more dry baking heat compared to ours.

Maybe he didn't peel off the protective stickers... you know, the ones you're supposed to peel off?

Cool Depends on where in the South

In the SouthEast of the US we get hot humid sticky sweaty weather where you sweat and you're hot and sticky, while in the SouthWest they get the dry heat where you sweat and it evaporates which helps cool you down some so you're hot but dry.

I've lived on both sides and I've been to all the 48 contiguous states. While there may be a few exceptions such as Southern California near the coast and in higher elevations such as Flagstaff, Arizona which has more trees and greenery than the larger desert area of the SouthWest this holds generally true.

Hope that answers your question.

Its humid as all hell in chicago, sometimes 10 degrees warmer ( feeling ) - heat index, just because of the humidity. and in the winter. (windchill ) but we do have the BEARS & the World Champion White Sox
