Fit Sport + Rhino ramps

I went to Auto Zone to scope out a set of ramps and ask if I purchased a set and they didn't fit....if I could return them. But as luck would have it, there was a customer there with a Fit who let me "measure it up" on his car and it looked like it would clear...but BARELY.

I bought the set and when I went to try going up, I managed to forget that the other guy had a Base and I had a Sport. I could not get the lips of the ramp to reach the tires without heavily rubbing the bumper.

So in conclusion, if you buy a set, you will have to get some wood and place it at the base of the ramps to gain some "height". I laid down a long 1 x 4 and then placed a piece of plywood on top of it and it seems fine.

mine is lowered on swifts with modulo lips. i can't get the ramps all the way in. i take my hydraulic jack and lift up the car a couple of inches and then stick the ramps all the way in and lower it back. move the car up slowly and its no problem.

I was wondering how you guys who have lowered your cars did it. Seems like a hassle. I'm looking for a lift kit!

I have race ramps that work great for my lowered Fit. They are pretty light so they are easy to move around its very nice

i made ramps out of lumber a few years ago because my Supra and wifes IS300 were too low for the jack, they have come in INCREDIBLY handy over the years. When my wife got her legacy gt, it was too low for the jack but my Forester could park over them no problem so ultimately they didn't take up any extra space, lol. Now her Impreza parks over them and I use them for my Fit because its too low to get my jack under the front end.

Mustangworld - Build yourself some ramps !

Of course, they can be made shorter than what is pictured. The front end of the Fit is so small compared to other cars we've had that I could probably trim them by half which would make them a whole lot lighter. Too much work though considering I will probably have another car in a year.
